Pilgrim Baptist Church 158th Founder’s Day Celebration
Pilgrim Baptist Church held its 158th Anniversary celebration of Founders Day on Sunday, June 27. Our theme was “An Extraordinary History – An Incredible Future: Reflecting on and Recommitting to the Promises of God”. The Founders Day speaker was the Rev. Jacquline L. Saxon, Executive Minister for the Mid-American Baptist Churches of Iowa and Minnesota. All members were respectfully requested to satisfy a special offering of $158 ($1 for every year since our beginning) for the Founders Day celebration. The Founders Day celebration was held in-person during 10 a.m. worship service on June 27 and was also delivered by live stream. Pilgrim also honored its members of 50 or more years and released a new video version of the church history.
